“Prayer is for the man of the Lord, the sanctification of his family” in 2002

Mrs. Maria Esperanza Medrano de Bianchini traveled to the United States of America once again accompanied by her husband and a small number of members of her family. Her health condition was the reason, since that she had several medical appointments to observe and treat her Parkinson’s Disease condition. Her loyal friend, Mr. John Crimi, offered them a house in the state of New Jersey where they stayed from November 30, 2002 until March 29, 2003.

Her ill health did not prevent Mrs. Maria Esperanza from meeting several personalities of the ecclesiastical ambit or her close friends. On December 6, 2002, she received the Mother Superior of the Convent of St. Joseph in Totowa and the house for the elderly of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Mr. John Crimi, the Millers, and other friends who shared a beautiful afternoon with the Bianchini family, concluding it with the celebration of Holy Mass.

On Sunday, December 8, the day of the wedding anniversary of the Bianchini-Medrano spouses and the day of the birthday of Mr.

Geo Bianchini, Holy Mass was celebrated by Monsignor Vincenzo Puma. The Crimi, the Gatto, the Kyle, and the Miller families all attended. That afternoon an exquisite lunch was prepared, a toast was made to celebrate so many special events, and Mrs. Maria Esperanza received very beautiful inspirations from above.

During the following days,    Mrs. Maria Esperanza received the visit of some Sisters from the Convent of St. Joseph and from a family that was close to the Sisters who had a little girl who suffered autism; it was an afternoon filled with hope and the guests left with a serene smile in their souls. Another gathering took place with the Kyle family and with Father James Sauchelli; they had a beautiful meeting in which Mrs. Maria Esperanza spoke to everyone, and afterwards Holy Mass was celebrated. Mr. Michael Brown, the editor of the website journal Spirit Daily, visited one morning to interview Mrs. Maria Esperanza, the content of such talk was very rich and filled with hope. The family also had the visit of: The Cannon family, Mr. Febo and Mr. Lenihan.

On Tuesday, December 24, 2002, Holy Mass was celebrated at night by Father Nicolas, a Franciscan father, friends of Father Lo Sasso, who met with the Kyle and Mr. Crimi to commemorate the Birth of the Infant God, and to share an exquisite Christmas dinner and Christmas gifts, at the house in Long Beach Island.

In the morning of December 27, something very unusual happened that called the attention of the Bianchini family. A number of birds came flying in circles around the house, and then they gathered on a tree and on the terrace in front of the bedroom of Mrs. Maria Esperanza. That afternoon, she received the visit of Sister Margaret Sims, Mrs. Rose Finnegan and Mrs. Carol Cohoon, who shared some beautiful moments together.

And to conclude the year 2002, the Bianchini family traveled to the residence of the Kyles, who had invited them for New Years Eve. Mr. Crimi, the Miller and three other couples, Dr. Graham Jones among them, were all invited. Dr. Jones was kind enough to assist Mrs. Maria Esperanza who was feeling very sick. The evening was beautiful, everything was arranged with much taste and kindness, and friendship and warmth filled the environment.

To embrace the commitment of serving, comforting, and assisting her brother was what you could see when observing the day by day of Mrs. Maria Esperanza. Regardless of her health condition, that was constantly deteriorating, she sought to serve whoever asked for help, to convert the sad or the sick, and to assist her brothers with a word, a smile, and above all with her pious prayer to the Eternal Father and Heavenly Mother, because as she always believed, “Prayer is for the man of the Lord, the sanctification of his family.”
